Prince Harry and Meghan visited the opening of exhibition celebrating the South African’s freedom fighter who became his country’s president.
A specially curated programme of photographs and film is on show at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in tribute to Mr Mandela on the centenary of his birth.
Prince Harry and Meghan were warmly welcomed by Mr Mandela’s granddaughter Zamaswazi Dlamini-Mandela.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wave as they arrive for their visit to the exhibition at the Southbank Centre today.
It is the first time the Nelson Mandela exhibition will be shown in the UK after successful runs in various forms around the world .
The exhibition traces Mr Mandela’s career from activist to president through diffrent themes: character, comrade, leader, prisoner and statesman.
The exhibition is curated by South Africa’s Apartheid Museum, the British Anti-Apartheid Movement Archives and Southbank Centre.
